However, in collaboration with the Slanghoek Winery, Zonneweelde wants to offer a range of wines that can compete with the better wines of appellations such as Stellenbosch, Paarl, Darlington and other more famous regions. Currently, the Breedekloof wine region consists of only 22 producers. Together they want to significantly increase the quality of their valley. Zonneweelde and Slanghoek are among these pioneers. The top wines of Zonneweelde Vineyards are made on a limited basis and come from the best lots in the vineyard. The grapes are picked by hand, selected and made and raised as befits the better class wine. For cellar master Pieter Carstens and his team Zonneweelde is a major challenge and the pride of the Breedekloof valley.
